Young Professionals Sponsor Career Skill, Technology Conference

Looking for new opportunities to grow your career and wealth in the Comox Valley? Futureproof 2013 is an all-day career skill and technology conference with the theme 'Future proof your career'. It is hosted by the Young Professionals Comox Valley (YPCV) at the Best Western Westerly Hotel on Saturday October 19th.

Co-Organizer and YPCV Professional Development Director Andy Eadie comments, "the event offers several fantastic speakers that will help you to increase your productivity and profitability, covering diverse subjects such as Social Enterprise, Internet Marketing with Search Engine Optimization, Blissful Productivity, Twitter and Social Media, an Expert Business Mentor Panel and crowdsource funding your idea".

The keynote speaker will be Guy Steeves, Western Director of Constant Contact -a highly successful internet marketing company worth over $650 million. Attendees will be able to customize a majority of their experience depending on which speakers interest them the most.

Co-Organizer Anya McLeod adds "The intention of the conference is to provide education, enthusiasm and a fantastic networking opportunity for local businesses that are striving to thrive in an ever changing economy.

The event is open to all ages. YPCV members get in for free, non-members are $79 (early bird), $89 (regular) and students of North Island College are $49 which also includes a special YPCV membership. Lunch and refreshments are included.
