British Columbia is at the edge of tremendous economic growth, powered by technology entrepreneurs choosing our province to start their ventures.
Like pioneers who were attracted by B.C.’s vast potential of natural resources, these innovators are laying the groundwork for our future prosperity. But, ideas not germinate in isolation. Entrepreneurs need a nurturing community to take concepts from start-up to commercialization. That’s where the British Columbia Innovation Council and our technology partners play a role.
As BCIC CEO and an entrepreneur, I’ve experienced the hurdles innovators need to overcome to bring their products to market and for start-ups to grow into viable companies. Thankfully there are programs designed specifically to help innovators get their ideas off the ground.
