BC’s thriving tech sector employs 84,000 people at more than 9,000 tech companies, yet there is still a considerable amount of room to expand and grow. Continuing on their quest to solidify British Columbia as a landmark global technology centre, BCIC is hosting The BC Tech Forumin partnership with the the Vancouver Board of Trade on March 20th.
Spotlighting BC's growing tech and innovation economy, the half-day forum will take a detailed look at British Columbia’s technology sector. The BC Tech Forum promises to show Vancouver business leaders how they can take their business where no business has gone before by encouraging them to step outside of their comfort zone and “ leapfrog their innovation to business revolution” .
Keynoting the event wil be Colonel Chris Hadfield, one of Canada’s most accomplished astronauts and the only Canadian to command the International Space Station. Hadfield is also a New York Times bestselling author, Twitter and YouTube Sensation, and truly engaging speaker. He will be sharing his stories and ideas with a view that will inspire all of us to think bigger and one step further of where we are today.
The BC Tech Forum will also include 90-second startup pitches rom "creators of innovative business solutions" including Techvibes 20 companies Picatic and Allocadia.
